Sunny Hills has been serving Orange County since 1982 as a privately owned and operated facility and we continue to maintain independence from the multi-office "chain" providers. Instead of shipping our work elsewhere, we operate a fully staffed, on-site fabrication laboratory which enables us to maintain full control over the design, fit, function, appearance, quality and expedient completion of every custom prosthesis and orthosis we fabricate.

RANDY McFARLAND, C.P.O., President
Randy graduated from the University of Washington's Orthotics & Prosthetics bachelor's degree program in 1977 after he earned his BS degree in Biology at Cal Poly, Pomona. He practiced in Los Angeles County before opening Sunny Hills Orthopedic Services in 1982. Randy is active in his community as a member of the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club of Fullerton. In 2006, Randy was named “Rotarion of Year” and Sunny Hills was awarded the “Business of the Year” by the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce.

Burhan “Ben” Dhar, CPO
Ben started his career in Prosthetics and Orthotics in India, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics. He became Board Certified by the American Board of Certification in Prosthetics and Orthotics and has been improving the lives of clients in Southern California for the past 7 years.

RICHARD ACKERMAN, Orthotist
Richard joined the Sunny Hills team in 1988, bringing a level of craftsmanship rarely seen anymore. He is one of the few orthotists in the country experienced in incorporating titanium into orthoses, and his unique abilities enable us to provide optimum designs for our clients' individual needs.

Eddie Jacobo, Orthotist-Prosthetist
Eddie has over 10 years experience in the prosthetics and orthotics field, earning his Bachelors Degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics at Cal State Dominguez Hills. He started his career at Loma Linda University and is completing his residency at Sunny Hills Orthopedic Services, Inc.

BRETT TRIMPER, Marketing & Contracts Manager
Brett brings 14 years of experience in the medical field, with seven years in prosthetics and orthotics proceeded by seven years at a large managed care group in Orange County. As our contracts manager, Brett’s expertise and common sense approach enhances the responsiveness and flexibility that Sunny Hills offers as an independently and locally owned provider.
